RMTC is currently accepting proposals for the in-person presentations and the in-person poster session at the 2027 Annual Meeting to be held April 21-23, 2027 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort in Incline Village, NV. Presentation proposals must be submitted by November 29, 2026, 11:59 p.m. MST. Poster proposals must be submitted by January 22, 2027, 11:59 p.m. MST. Poster submission will require an electronic version in PPT format.
We are particularly interested in presentations that highlight the innovation and collaboration that exists within rural healthcare training and practice. Broad themes include:
- Innovations in training and rural practice
- Connecting the continuum from UME to GME to rural practice
- Innovative and collaborative approaches to recruitment of learners and clinicians
- Embracing the beauty of rural places
- Novel approaches to the treatment of rural substance use disorders
- Rural medical education in uncertain times
- Unique approaches to funding and sustainability
- Navigating changing CMS requirements
- Culturally and community informed training and practice
- Novel approaches to rural unhoused populations in graduate medical education
- Developing a broad spectrum of skills in rural healthcare
- Models of primary care delivery
- Team based care
- Rural Medicine Generalists
Presentations by and for program coordinators/administrators and students/residents are encouraged.

General Instructions:
- Submit the completed presentation proposal through our presentation Qualtrics link by November 29, 2026.
- Submit the completed poster proposal form through our poster Qualtrics link by January 22, 2027.
- Acknowledgment of receipt of submissions will be e-mailed within 5 business days of your submission.
ALL PRESENTERS MUST PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE. This includes poster presenters. In addition, no honoraria or travel expense reimbursement can be provided by the Collaborative to any presenter submitting through the call for presentations. Presenters may not use any conference presentation to market products or services. Every presenter, lead and secondary, will be required to declare any potential financial conflict of interest, i.e. any association or role that could, as a direct result of this presentation, cause a financial benefit to the presenter or their family.
