The mission of the University of Kentucky Rural (Morehead) Family Medicine Residency Program, located at St. Claire Healthcare, is to develop and retain future physician partners in delivering a Healing Ministry to our rural populations by focusing on the Heart of Family Medicine. The University of Kentucky Rural (Morehead) Family Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME accredited residency training program sponsored by the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and based at UK St. Claire in Morehead, KY. Our program includes the opportunity to receive Osteopathic Recognition from the ACGME osteopathic principles committee. Our resident continuity clinics are located on the first floor of the Center for Health, Education & Research (CHER) building in Morehead. The residency is administered by the University of Kentucky Graduate Medical Education Office (GME) and residents abide by the University of Kentucky GME policies and procedures.
