Willmar
MN
Rural Track Program
Family Medicine

Located 90 miles west of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Willmar is where the prairie meets the lakes. Known as the crossroads of Minnesota, it boasts a picturesque region with crystal-clear lakes, rich farmlands, and rolling wooded hills. The Willmar Rural Family Medicine Residency Program focuses on community-oriented training and population health, while striving to improve healthcare access in rural areas. As a resident, you will gain a broad range of skills, preparing you to meet the needs of individuals in communities with limited healthcare resources. You will train at both Rice Memorial Hospital and St. Cloud Hospital, supported by our committed faculty physicians and preceptors who have extensive experience in family medicine, including maternity care, inpatient medicine, emergency medicine, and procedures. Practicing in a rural community allows you to build lasting connections with your patients, a hallmark of rural primary care.

Accepts IMG: We welcome International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to apply; however, we are unable to sponsor J-1 visa applications at this time
